      Probably best to read witch ancestry first but it doesn t really make any difference as most of the characters are different and story filled with new twists Lilah is a character who grows interesting throughout the book and her struggles to understand who and what she is and where she fits in, kicked out of a monastery orphanage for her possession of the dark arts When she meets Gabriel, who has been watching her for years, life takes another dramatic turn Certainly a page turner.
